Does this mean a Miata unit (pumpkin) is a direct bolt-in or are just the gears the same?

So we can use Mazda's 4.44's or 4.77's? I've seen some sets that are pretty cheap. Way cheaper than the aftermarket sets that are sold for the S2000. If they are the same gear, I'll buy the ones meant for the miata.

Someone please definitively answer this.

I thought Rick has an exclusive deal with Richmond and they won't sell to anyone else for S2000 gears?

I'm not trying to cut his throat. I am just looking out for myself. Looking for the best deal. I have a freind at a very large Hot Rod store who says he can help w/ richmond gear. If it is the same as Miata, Richmond will sell to Miata enthusiasts as well.
