Default Rag Top - Vinyl or Cloth? Are you sure?

I posted this inquiry as a reply to a different post a few days ago but no one followed up and I was hoping you folks would have a definitive answer.

My wife got a 2004 S2000. She drives...I maintain...life sucks, don't it?

I've received conflicting information about the materials used to produce the rag top and don't know which cleaner/preservative products to use as a consequence. I'm fond of the RaggTopp products but you have to be absolutely certain about the materials in your top, i.e. vinyl or cloth, to prevent harm to the top.

I know the earlier S2000s had a vinyl top and plastic window. I know Honda went to the glass window more recently. And I searched for a definitive answer about the top and have none. This is what I got:
Honda Dealer/Parts: Replacement top is definitely cloth but can't swear to original.
Honda Corp. Customer Service: The top is a combination of cloth and vinyl. Use only Honda cleaner/protectant Part #08798-9013.
Haartz (premier makers of tops and advocate of RaggTopp): The top is definitely vinyl.

Haartz is a very reputable and helpful group, but in light of the conflicting feedback, I'm still concerned. Does anyone out there have reason to know positively what the top on the 2004 is made of?

I also noted that folks at S2K1 are partial to 303 for the top and Zaino for the paint. Any opinions about RaggTopp for the top and Blackfire or Klasse for the paint?

Vinyl it is then. Thanks guys.

And I agree, Ninegrand, I may be a sucker, but it sure gives the appearance of canvas to me compared to nasty vinyl tops I've seen over the years on other vehicles.

Woven vinyl, so it's a type of cloth (I guess) made of vinyl.

WOW, thanks for digging that up, ninegrand. But now you're scaring me again...just when I thought it was safe to go back to my detail product supplier. I don't know what year that identifier document was drawn from, but the rear window for sure converted to glass from plastic at least for MY04 and I believe earlier. And the guy from Honda was indeed talking about a change in the top material in the last year or so as well.

I couldn't find a stamp as described in the document on the top anywhere. Were you able to find it on yours? Can you describe the location?

This should be easier than this...shouldn't it?
