I used the Lucid rear speaker harness, 4" pioneer 120 watt speakers, a rubber playground ball cut in half to cover the magnets, bolts and speaker wire and installed it for about $90 total cost out of pocket. It sounds great!

The speaker itself is much larger than the twin tweeters that come in the factory headrest speakers and I'll bet that the power output(watts) is greater also. It is way too loud at 50/50 fade front to back. I have it set at 70 front/ 30 rear fade. It has a lot of thumping bass that I'm sure the factory headrest speakers can't match! You get a cleaner look with the factory speakers but they are also five times the cost. If you are a little mechanical this is a great inexpensive mod! The radio door comes straight out with a good yank when it's in the open position. There are four screws holding the radio in . Instead of trying to figure out which wires to splice into, get the plug and play rear speaker harness. Route the speaker wires under the center armrest and connect it to the speakers and you're ready to rock!

The speaker isn't flush against the honeycomb of the seat headrest although it looks that way. I used small diameter rubber hose as cushioning - vibration absorbing spacers so the speaker sits about 1/2" back. Anybody have any other ideas to cover the back? It in no way interferes with putting the seat back all the way.
