Someone who has changed radiator hoses please comment, how difficult? I can not even see where the top hose connects to the block. Thanks

I did mine, and it isn't easy at all. Taking it off of the radiator is easy, I had to put the car on a lift to get the others off. It took myself and a Honda Tech about 2 hours.

Pray tell, why are we changing rad hoses already? Are they that poor quality, or are they being changed just as preventative maintenance?

Curious

One word - "Hard". Leave it to the professionals. The bottom hose is easy to reach but the top one takes great effort. Unless it's absolutely necessary (IE - Radiator upgrade), I don't see why the OEM radiator hose is not good enough. Leave it alone.

I installed a braided Feel's upper hose and it was really hard. You'll need long screwdrivers and small hands or big hands with a lot of new cuts and scratches

Everyone - thanks for the information. Reason for wanting to change hoses is to install recently purchased red Samco hoses but based on your comments they are going to remain in their$130 box for a while A local Honda tech told me would take about an hour at $85.00, but he has never done it. Thanks again.
