Default Hmmmm.....

It seems that our regional name has been changed to "New York City Upstate"....
I found it kind of weird, anyone know why it was changed??

Dont feel bad. We got the same screwjob in the South Florida forum. Now we are called "Florida South" and nobody is happy. It sounds as retarded as "New York Upstate".

We feel for you

I think I know who was responsible for this...

As a former Upstate New Yorker... huh? As I remember it Upstate and NYC are two completely differents states if not countries aren't they? Upstaters don't claim NYC and NYC thinks we're a bunch of hicks... hmmm, well I did grow up snowmobiling, shovelling snow, and hanging out in front of the ol' hometown pizzeria.

Yep, strange thing... anyone know what the deal is

Yeah, that was weird. I usually have a quick sequence of keys that takes me here. But when it was changed, I thought the region was deleted! (it was right under Toronto before the change).

It seems funny that the regional communities are in alpha order except for the "N"'s

Where's our fearless leader on this?!? Doug, whom do we contact to express our disapproval? I've never heard our part of the state called "New York Upstate" and think the organizer needs to return to our RIGHTFUL name and DO IT NOW.

Hmmm,
Looks like a global change. We went from North Texas to Texas North. Go figure, I guess it makes it easier to find organizations by state, but it's sure to throw regular users into a loop for a while

.... We fear change....
