no 2002 s2000

i corrected him, he rechecked with the regional manager, then called me back and said, you are right, i apologise, only differences are a blue color and a glass rear window.

heh, just fueling the fire. that is what he told me though.

 

I didnt want to say anything because it is not a known fact, only rumor... but... I too was at my dealership today, and my mechanic told me that next years should have a glass window as well. He said they were having too many complaints about back window and proper care of back window.

Im just repeating what he said......

 

I doubt this glass window rumor will ever become reality.....I don't think Honda is going to redesign the car just because of the rear window & the idea of having a hinge in the glass is just flat out ridiculous. Just my .02

 

I've had two dealerships say that the 2002 S2K will have a glass rear window. I want to believe them but I don't trust anything a dealer says.

 

I doubt there's a glass window either. I'm sure our friends that went to the factory in Japan would've heard about this, if it were true.

btw, what does it cost every time you need a rear window replacement, do they EVER cover it under warranty?

As a Product Manager I can tell you that my company is very, very careful with any future information on our products that would freeze sales of current products and create an inventory issue. I wouldn't imagine that Honda is any different.

Even if that dealer is correct (big if) about the '02 model having a glass window he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer for telling you and delaying a sale.
