Default confused why my 04 s2k is doing this?does anyone have this prob?

you know when you leave your key in the ignition, but not turned on or anything, it goes beep....beep...beep when you open the door
well when i take out the key and open my door to get out it beeps like the key is still in.. but when i put it back in and take it out it stops... this has happened to me several times and just don't know why its doing it...i do have a clifford alarm and didn't happen before i got it and didn't happen right after i installed, so im a little bit confused, do you think its got to do with all that wiring for the alarm or maybe its just the car?

My money would be on alarm but I don't have an '04 so I can't tell you if it's normal behavior.

Well, I'd check with the installer first. The dealer isn't responsible for fixing something someone else may have broken.

I had the same problem on my old prelude before I got the S, and it was a clifford alarm.

My prelude does it, it's just a honda thing, my friend's accord does it also...

It's a friendly reminder that the key is still in the ignition.

That's not the behavior of my '04. When key is out, opening a door is silent (Unless of course your lights are on....in which case you get a steady tone) I agree with the earlier posts by Ludedude, see your alarm installer.

Interesting, this has been the behavior on mine and I don't have an alarm.

I'm suspecting that it has something to do with how I lock or unlock the doors (keyfob vs. actual door locks) when getting out of the car, but I haven't really investigated it.

Sounds like the beeper should be wired to ignition switched 12V and is instead wired to direct battery 12V.

Who installed your alarm?
