You be the judge! (dialup users beware!)
So, these pics were posted on the Audi board. Originally, they were intended to show how dangerous speed can be, but suddenly it sparked a whole controversy. Some reader immediately started screaming "Fake!" and "PhotoChop!". He had a valid point that there seems to be no damage to the ground (no skid marks of any kind). That started an entire firestorm of debate over the pics.
Personally, I do not think this is a fake. (a) I can see no reason for it and (b) a LOT of detail would have gone into faking this entire scene and to what end? I mean its an insane theory. I think some retard noticed the lack of skid marks, wanted to be "Quincy" and started screaming "fake" without taking into account that there may be some fairly complex physics involved that explain the lack of skid marks. Then other Lemmings jumped on the bandwagon.
I do agree that it does seem strange to find no ground damage, but then I'm no crash expert. I tried to make sense of many of the arguments FOR and AGAINST the "fake" theory and a lot of reasons were given for the lack of skid marks. Most of these had to do with vehicle trajectory, terrain, and physics and a host of other things that just made my head hurt.
Anyway, fake or not, its a good reminder of what can happen if you aren't careful and even if you ARE careful, sometimes things happen that are out of your control (animal in the road, etc).
Here we go...

Oh and Volkswagen (not Volkswagon
) or not, no matter what you are driving, your car is going to look like that if you hit a tree at 100 MPH, which is what the poster of the thread claims the vehicle was believed to be traveling at. Also, on another site they posted a news article (poorly translated) that claims the two people in the car were drinking and were both killed (no surprise there).Sad no matter how you slice it.
Dont think its an S4, Steering wheel doenst have badge. The Seats are Racing seats though...So could very well be An S6... I dont think they badged there steering wheels. Also it has red calipers...S4's diddnt...quite the mystery it is..
