Default S2K vs SLK 32 AMG

hehe, I defintly outran this guy. He is a C&D staff. (so, I am sure he has a very heavy right foot). again, about 60+ to 120. I left him in dust. by the time I get to 120, he is about 5 or 6 car length behind me. I was quite surprise to the result. Afterward, he pulled up next to me and gives me a thumbs up. I thought he would leave me in dust for sure. hehe, 20K cheaper and minus 2 cylinder and supercharger.

I thought car and driver just tested the SLK AG to be faster? Did I read that wrong?

He must not have been trying -- the SLK32 packs 354HP and is under 5 seconds to 60MPH.

I think the car has tons of HP. I guess the automatic really hamper the car. I guess the time he lost are the computer trying to downshift to catch up.

Could happen, but against a supercharged 3.2-liter V6? 354 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque is pretty hard to beat. It should be a low 5 second car plus no launching problems.

Perhaps he reached his speed limit and was slowing down and thats why you were so far ahead of him.

The SLK 32 has a top speed of 155, or so I've heard.

Sounds good though stats would lead to dispute.

Earlier this week, I came upon a CL 600 and went by him like the breeze. I am sure he was not trying.

If it's the new one, whatever you say happened, didn't really happen.
