WANTED: high mileage s2000, any color, anywhere
I am looking for a high mileage Honda s2000. Any color is fine. I currently drive a loaded 2000 Nissan Maxima SE automatic(silver with black leather). It is very nice and has every single option except cd changer in the trunk, but I have had an obsession with the s2000 since I first saw the concept in 1998. I could never afford one until now, and now that I can I want one while I am still young (20 years old). I just lost my father to cancer on February 18, 2004, and I figure there is no other way to get away from everything to think then to go cruise the highway in an s2000 and allow myself to get my head straight. My dad could never afford to get me one even though he would have liked to, and now that it can become a reality I would love to get one if anyone has one or knows of someone who wants to sell theirs. I say high mileage, because I looked on kelley blue book and high mileage s2000's run in about my price range, but if you want to sell me one with low mileage for about the price of a high mielage s2000 I am game for that too! I am currently studying in Barcelona, Spain until May 28th so I will not be able to buy the car until then probably (unless someone has a sweet deal and I may be able to work something out from over here). Sorry for the long sob story just want you to know my motivation for buying one. I garauntee I would baby the s2000 I get and drive it until it dies... no chance I would ever sell it if I was lucky enough to get one. My fahter had a lime green 1976 triumph spitfire when he was younger, and he always told me how cool it was to have when he was younger cruising around town... I guess I kinda want that feeling
Thanks for any help,
Mike

Hey Mike,
Sorry to hear about your father.
I am selling mine with 39K. 18,999 firm, im not sure what your range is but let me know.
And to be blunt, be careful with whatever S2000 you get, I was able to trot around in a drop top when I was young also...you can get in a lot of trouble in an S2000.
Good Luck
James

It's always hard when you lose a close family member. It sounds like you had a great relationship with your dad. I wish you all the luck in the world in finding your car.

Wow! every forum I have read no matter what the topic.... everyone has been so nice on this website... I guess it is just such a severe change from searching through all the ebay and autotrader adds with all the crap they try to throw at you.... Kekoa, white with red leather is my ideal color combination(or black with red leather) but honestly color doesn't matter to me I just wan this car! Kekoa, yours being a 2002 with only 49,000 you are probably out of my price range( I am only looking to spend around $16,000..hence "high mileage", but if around $16,000 is what you're looking for... I am more they interested to work something out with you... thanks for all the replies... I went out tonight in Barcelona and came home to all these great replies... THANKS

yea payyourtoll... very true.. I am looking at a salvaged titled s2k on ebay that has 7199 miles on it and is a 2000. The guy drove it on a flooded road and short circuited the electrical system which was repaired and is now up for sale... I am open to the idea of buying an S2k with a salvage title, but whatever s2k I buy will have to go through a thorough inspection at a honda dealer... thanks again for the advice.. every bit helps... please keep it coming! thanks, Mike
