Default European Users - Please Help With Questions

Hello all. I visited Honda's Germany website, and determined that German S2K's (as I assumed) feature a rear fog lamp integrated into the driver's (left) tail light. I've only seen photos of the newer 2004 lights, but I assume that the the previous tail lights also have the integrated fog lamp. Does anyone have photos of these lights? Also, where is the switch for the rear fog lamp located in the European cars? Are these cars also equipped with factory front fog lamps? I apologize for the many questions, but when I purchase my (US) S2K, I hope/plan to purchase and install the rear fog lamp and want it to be wired using all OEM Honda parts. Thanks in advance.

Hi , i'll try to help you .
The fog light in pre-2004 models is not integrated in the taillights .
Its in the rear bumper in the plastic part between the exhaust tips .
In a 2004 model its in the left taillight .
I'll try to find a pic of where the swith is located .

If you got some more questions just ask , i'll help you out .

I'll think the switch is located on the same place as on the previous models, on the left of the steering wheel. We don't have many '04 models over here, the most are between '00 and '02.

Thanks very much guys. I searched around and found some pictures of the older center-mounted light, but can't find any photos of the actual switch yet...

Siepel drives a US sourced S2000 and made a EU conversion when he came back to Holland.

Where you read cruise that's the same switch for our rear foglight (we don't have cruise control in Europe).

Here is another pic of the rear foglight switch but the symbol on it isn't verry clear.

As for the factory front foglights no we don't have those but I like what Rick Hesel has done with his S.

I hope this helps

Was he able to wire the factory EU fog light switch? I've read that there may be problems getting the switch to work correctly.

And thank you El Animali for the pictures - just what I was looking for.

Hi there,

I tried to do the conversion, but there were a few 'problems' with the install.

1) The switch is meant to be on the left side of the steering wheel, but US version only has space on the right side. It fits, but looks a bit odd. However, it's good enough for me and nobody has ever mentioned anything about it....

2) The switch is a repetitive one, so it's unable to actually switch a light on and off. I had to create a hold function with a couple of relays connected through the parking lamps. Switching off is only possible by turning off the lamps all together...

installation process with cut-out piece

with normal lamps

with brake lamps

fog lamp switch on right side of the wheel, with incorporated amber lamp

The rear fog lamp is mandatory pretty much in all of Europe.

Hope this helps
