Well fellas, we got our 'welcome back' from bad drivers yesterday. Some foooker did a hit and run on my wife's 5 week old Jazz. It is hard to imagine how they did it as the car was parked on the street, away from the intersection (roundabout), facing away from the intersection and in front of another car.

By the looks of the scratches it looks like a truck or ute but you never know.

I filed a claim with NRMA and they directed us to John Pirello Smash Repairs in Castle Hill. It is only 2 kms from where our new apartment is (although we have not moved yet). Does anyone know the quality of their work?
Any suggestions for a really Good NRMA approved shop?

Damn, cashout, that's a pisser.

Just pray it doesn't happen to the Smart. My guess is it would crumple down to the size of an aluminium can upon receipt of a nudge from another vehicle.

Feel for you man. 3 weeks ago I had someone keyed my car and try to wreck my mags. Those people are loosers and should own up to their mistake...hey accidents happen but atleast own up and be a man about it.

Dude that really, really sucks. Some young hoon most probably lost control and decided to take off.

Speaking of dishonest and jealous people, I decided to take the wheels off my wrecked integra the other day. Do you know what I found in both rear tires? 2 small, and I mean small headed nails. Very strange that I'd have 2 nails with small heads (i harp on the small head thing because with the size of these things they would've had to have been "placed") on both rear tires....

This car was also keyed in liverpool a few weeks back. I just don't get some people....

wil..

I tried to upload pictures earlier but the server must be stuffed as all I got was 'could not produce image' in the places where the pics would be (my album).

Will try again tonight

Sorry to hear about that cashout

My friend's car got hit and run the other day by a car going the opposite direction on a straight and wide road which gave the impression that maybe the driver was loaded. A quick look around solved the problem, the stupid smacky only lived around the corner from her and she left her car out the front. There were obvious paint transfers and her badge was left behind so there wasn't too much hassle confirming it was her. Bitch did not even apologise once she was caught but the police took care of everything

I can't believe there are so many stories out there like this - well I can, but it is just so disheartening that there are so many disrespectful people out there who have the mentality of "that's what insurance is for".

I feel for all of you.

I just remebered that someone tried to do this to my 2 month old BMW last year...the bastard reversed in to it then took off down the road. Fortunately I saw the whole thing (what a painful experience) and the dude got stuck at the next set of lights. Everyone must have been wondering what I was doing running down the middle of Bayswater Road in Rushcutters Bay....

I hate ass-holes like this...they deserve to die

Yeah sorry to hear that.

Some worthless piece of frog turd keeps keying my trunk lid. It was three weeks ago (around 5cms) the next one which happened on Thursday is around 17cms and curved. When I find him, sanctions will be imposed

Just put the pictures up.... it hurst everytime I see them!

Took the car to John Pirello today and I was reassured when I saw they were working on a Massa rebuild (must have been a front and back accident as the car was completely stripped of bumpers and lights.)

So the little Jazz goes under the knife on May 3rd. New door will be fitted, most likely a new mirror (the current one is not broken but it will not swing back to the original position so you can't really use it unless you stick your head to the window :-) )

I want to go and stake out the street as it is one of those streets that is practically a cul-de-sac but with work and the move is hard to find the time. I may go today before work but I doubt I'll find anyone as most people will already be at work.

On the bright side, we found out yesterday we qualify for the stamp duty eliminiation so we are taking the 'sweet with the sour' and moving on!
