Default Permanent anti-vibration solution for aeroscreen: Free upgrade parts for all!

As you know, Reedz and I have been experimenting with solutions for several months. We have provided with every screen a kit of rubber foam strips which reasonably well, but need to be replaced periodically. Early attempts at more permanent solutions required drilling holes in the roll hoops, a prospect that I found abhorrent. I

Looks very nice. I like the fact that no drilling is needed.

Thanks, Randy, for reminding me that I left out the address. I've added it to the original post as well.

I tried something similar on my car some time ago. I found that the Arizona heat would melt the adhesive and the bumpers would start to move leaving a "slime trail" of adhesive across the roll hoops.

I don't think the bumpers I used were of as high a quality as the ones in the photos though. I'll give it another try.

Rick, thank you for being on top and always improving your products. Where did you purchse the bumpers?

SCS2k.

I think these will not loose their grip in the heat, but if they do, I have a solution in waiting which will make them impervious to heat. I'll be testing these over the next few days in the hot sun to see, but so far, so good.

Rick,

Once again, you are providing great customer service by offering a solution ! I hope it works, though the heat and sun might win over again.

I took the more permanent rout by drilling a small hole and attaching the bumpers - All I can say is it's awsome. I used a small piece the original anti-vibration rubber foam (and glued it on with super glue) between the bumper and the aero screen. If the adhesive bumper solution does not work, I can guarantee my solution (thanks to Rick) will.

Good luck to all.

DLee
