I had read that the '04 Fender liners are different than the '00 - '03 fender liners. Well the pics below show the modification that was made on the '00 -'03 Fender liners to provide attachment points for the '04 Bumper.






Yoy can see that all that was done was to rivet on a metal extension for two of the holes on each fender liner. This is something that could easily be thrown together so that one does not have to get new front fender liners if one converts to an '04 bumper.

I bought the 04 liners anyway.... screw trying to rig stuff up, but that's just me.

those are 04 liners.. not extensions he bought.... he was just stating you could buy some and make it work and not buy the liners.

can you clarify what those pictures are? are those pre-04 liners with the extension modification, or are those actually 04 liners?

The point defender is trying to make is that 04 fender liners are just 00-03 fender liners that are modified with brackets (as per the pics) from the factory.

 

are the 04+ fenders different by chance?

 

I spoke to Joe @ Ganley about the liners last month - they are EXACTLY the same apart from the brackets.
