Default Proposed DC Area Meet -- Pick a date in August!

I would like to get all of us DC / Balt / Richmond area folks together for a meet / greet / drive (Yes--a drive for once) in the mid-august timeframe.

I am starting to put some possible sceninc routes and lunch plans together.

So whaddya say? Post here or send me a PM. I would like to get dates nailed down by this Friday so that we can move to other specifics.

Glad to join in if I can. The last week in August is out for me for sure.

I don't want to take the 18th off the table (I'm the only one to vote on it so far anyway) but it looks like Scot wants to get people up to York, PA for "Hot Import Daze."

This is something I'd like to attend, if only to see some old friends. Let's give it a few days to see what everyone else thinks.

I'm in! Any weekend except the 1st and last. Has it been decided where the meet is? If it's in the DC area, perhaps a track day at Summit Point, then "scenic" drives the following day?

Let's see. . .do I have any birthdays scheduled for August? Actually, my wife and I are expecting our third child (another boy. . .just call me Fred McMurry) any day now and, God willing, we'll be in Ireland for the Christening either the first or second week of August. So late August works better for me. If y'all can wait that long, perhaps we can kick the day off with a barbecue at my place where you will be treated to the best ribs and pulled pork this side of Memphis. For my birthday yesterday I got a new smoker and I'm looking for any excuse to infuse the other white meat with vast amounts of hickory smoke (Q is yummy).

Happy Birthday, Pat. And congrats on the impending arrival.
