I bought mine back in March '00 for MSRP at Penske Honda in Ontario. I know they were trying to force some options on other people after I bought mine so I'm not sure what the situation is now.
Good Luck

Basically the dealers i've been talking to give me the same old rap about how they are selling for $5k over the msrp and shit like that. I know very well it is happening, and yet other people are paying MSRP and close to MSRP and I don't think I should be cheated out of a good deal. One dealer wanted me to duke it out with other buyers to see who would pay the most for the car and I don't think that's good business, I think that's called an auction.
Psicho (interesting spelling by the way)-
I got my car for just under MSRP including the OEM front and rear spoilers (which I wanted). i bought mine back in March at a dealership that I had bought a CRV for my fiancee at about a month before. Apparently, the dealership is no longer being as reasonable and now that the weather is warming up they are less flexible in their pricing. They don't have any Stooks on the lot and this seems to give them confidence in screwing buyers.
My advice, for whatever its worth, is this. Stick to your guns. These greedy bastards are making more than enough money on each of these cars at sticker. Don't feed their gluttony.
There are quite a few stories on this board about dealers in other states offering the cars at or slightly below MSRP. There is one board member, in fact JShytheHondaguy(???) who seems to be wiling to be reasonable. I don't know this guy from Adam but it seems that other board members have dealt with him and he is willing to be reasonable.
Just keep looking. The car is definitely worth the hassle.
Good luck.
PS - make sure you check out the magazine linked to this board. it gives some very very useful tips on picking up your new stook (i.e. making sure some ham fisted idiot didn't just screw the car up by ingoring the very important break in procedure).

If you get it at Metro Honda, make sure you do NOT buy it when TOM VU is the sales manager. The guys a lie and a cheat who was willing to sell out and fire his own salemen for my sell. I did get mine there for MSRP, but went through hell trying to get some modifications and didn't get my car till a month AFTER I payed for it. Their service department sucks too.
I got mine at Norm Reevs Honda in Huntington Beach for MSRP ($32,740) with no forced options. They originally wanted $6,000 over, but I told them Hardin Honda (Aneheim) and Kaiser Honda (Downtown LA) were going to sell for sticker. (Hardin didn't have the color I wanted and Kaiser I hadn't visited yet -- they called me via the web and quoted me over the phone). I stuck to my guns and even stood up to walk out and they came down to MSRP. They tried to stick me on the APR saying they "weren't making any money on me" so I told him what he paid for the car (invoice) down to the dollar and he turned white like he saw a ghost.
Needless to say, they came down on the APR too.
