NOTICE TO ALL: THIS SERVICE IS RE-OPENED ON A LIMITED BASIS. FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR ADVICE.

Hello,

You have found my thread regarding a Brake Caliper Painting Service which I offer. Our wonderful car was originally fitted with drab-unfinished brake calipers. Paint kits are available that will enhance the look, both inside the wheel and overall.

Here's the details:

I suggest getting the paint kit and decals(optional) from decalgirl.com
Here's a breakdown:
G2 Caliper Paint Kit = $50
Decals = $10-15 depending on choice
*I would prefer if you ordered the kit and stickers. You have some choices on both. I will order for you if necessary.

As for the labor:
You have a choice. I insist on at least grinding down the seams/castings from the manufacturing process. This is right where the logo needs to be. Labor for grinding and painting and logos is $150.

OR - for the best, smoothest glossiest finish, I need to grind down all the pot-marks in the metal. Between a dremel tool and hand file, this is very labor intensive and hard on my knees. I did this to my set and get complimented alot. Labor for extra grinding plus all the rest is $200.

Either way, the epoxy paint in the G2 kit looks fantastic when applied with a little experience and care. I have learned a few tricks as I do more of these. You will not be disappointed.

So thats $60 for the supplies and either $150 or $200 for labor.

I am only available on the weekends. Mobil service is available, if you cannot drop off your car. It is an extra $50 for a house call to cover fuel costs and wear/tear on MY S2K. If you are interested, please let me know so we can schedule an appointment and order the supplies.

Thank you again,
David "Hockey"

p.s. My e-mail address is "hockey@s2ki.com" or send a PM.

Yeah, I wish the Laker's woulda lost last nite!

Oh sorry, wrong playoffs. Hehehehe.

Actually "Hockey" is my nickname from my painfully long last name.
About once a month a get sombody asking about hockey (the sport) and it makes me laugh.

Not alot of hockey fans down here in SD. More messages from players looking for others to join.

No worries, thanx for the monthly smile.

David "Hockey"

HERE ARE SOME MORE PICS, SINCE THE FIRST POST IS OFFICIALLY FULL AND I CANNOT ADD MORE!!!

Maybe we can move tech-day up to this weekend?!?! Otherwise it will have to be after the Eibach thing.

Zaino kit............nice. Should make that GPW a nice super shine.

You gotta see Ron/Nita's brakes now. You'll go running to order the G2 paint kit in a heartbeat.
:thinkingaboutwhatcolorwouldbegoodonaGPW:
I'd be willing to do the work on yours too. We can talk more at the Eibach Open House.

Later,
David

Here's the link.

Decalgirl.com

That should link to the paint kit.

Type in S2000 in the search field to see the logos for the calipers.

We did Blue on Jay619's and they came out nice. It is close to the Civic / NSX Electron Blue - for a guide - not MCB which is pretty dark.

You can PM Jay to see his brakes and get his feedback.

Talk to you later,
David
