Dealer Ratings
Leesburg Honda - Seemed to do a very good job with the car ... my Insurance company disagreed with some of the charges though (but I left that for the Insurance company and Leesburg Honda to battle).
Fairfax Honda - After taking my wife's Civic there once, I will never step foot on that lot again ... for any reason.
Have fun,
Derek

When I was deciding where to take my s2000 in for service, a friend sent me a list of shops that had been reviewed by an independent service (kind of like Consumer Reports ... but for services rather that products) ... here's their ratings of local dealer service (in no particular order) ...

Just bought my car from Jim Coleman Honda over in Clarksburg (I'm in Rockville). I have to say that I was extremely impressed with everyone there, at least on their sales side. The dealership is new and immaculate, perhaps we should push them to hold some events there much like Manchester Honda does (www.manhonda.com). I have not yet had any experience with their service department so I cannot comment on that. They told me they have a mechanic named Eddie there who was specifically trained on S2000's. Perhaps all dealerships have such a mechanic so that may be a non-starter. In any case, if there service department is half as good as sales then my car will be in good hands.
You'll find that all of the dealers have at least one tech who has been specifically trained on the S2000. At Rosenthal his name is Robert Salguero.
Just because they have gone to classes geared towards the car does not necessarily mean they are great at what they do. I find that the simplest issues still go to the tech line for consultation. Truthfully, I have not been very impressed with the quality of the tech work at Rosenthal nor was I enamored with Robert's previous service writer, Mike Milloy (who has moved on to the Porsche dealer next door w/ former service mgr. Kevin Taylor). Fortunately, Mike's replacement Vicki Wingren is very kind and helpful (as many here will attest) and can cover many of the foibles with her charm.
I have had my car serviced once at Leesburg Honda and came away very unimpressed with their ability to handle a simple brake pad / fluid flush, charging me for services I did not request and attempting to double-charge me on labor. I also felt the technician was wholly unqualified. Of course, with the volume of S2000's that roll out of there I doubt they have had many to work on. The funny thing is that I had brought my '88 CRX there for three years after moving down from Baltimore and never had an issue. Of course their continued practice of forcing all options as a prerequisite to sale of the car doesn't enamour me towards them either.
As for Shockley, I had purchased two previous CRX's from them and always loved the small-town attention they gave me in both sales and service. Because Frederick is too damn far of a haul for me I have never thought of bring either car out there for many years. But given their low yearly allotment (only 5 for MY2000) I would think that their service department has worked on very few as well.

ive gone to 2 different places so far with my car. at sheehy it seemed the guys didnt know what they were doing, i ended up telling them they didnt know what they were doing and leaving.
my car is at landmark honda right now. ive also gotten it serviced there before. so far im happy with there service. of course this may all change as i am still new to them. only my second time taking it there.
Landmark has kept me in the know about what is going on with my car and when i am getting it back and how far along they are without me having to call them. so im very happy with that so far.
