Default What are you pumping?

With gas price hitting more than $1/litre for 91 octane and up I'm just wondering what is everyone doing now? still feeding her those insanely expensive 94? or going down slowly?

I get better gas mileage after I started using 94. Well u can say u pay a lil more for better gas mileage. Plus the engine's performance goes up a lil bit too.

I pump 94 . . . . . . it's hard to determine the perfect bare minimal AKI of my fuel needs, temperature fluctuates rapidly, stations have seasonal AKI correction for their products, ignition delay/advancements by the ECU, me romping on throttle or cruising around . . . . . . . . . maybe there might be miniscules traces of unburned fuel lingering around and my fuel being wasted, but I feel better not worrying about predetonation before TDC meh but that's just me . . . . . . . I feel butt raped paying 109.4 a litre for dinofuel . . . . .

There really is no point in pumping 94 when the factory recommends 91 or 92. Some cars actually run poorer with high-octane gas. However, there are few exceptions such as the Odyssey, where Honda under-rated the octane rating so people with families and tight budgets don't get scared away from the car.

I have to pump 94 though.

94 when I can. Only because the folks from down south were so amazed that it was so readily available here. They said it was like racing fuel!

91 every time. In the UK I used to always fill with the equivalent of 94 which MAY have given a bit more zip, but I don't see the point out here in Vancouver as my mpg here is pathetic and I hardly have the chance to VTEC.

Speed limit seems to be 50kph everywhere near Vancouver (the only time I see the police is when they are pulling somebody over or when they are outside a coffee shop - can't have that much crime in Vancouver, so perhaps I should be happy!)

For those who pump 94, do you pump a full tank everytime? or do you pump in $10-$15 till prices drop???
