Default Well, It just happened. My car's totalled.

Hey Skip,

Don't worry about the little knicks on your door.

My whole front is pretty much gone. My rear driver's side wheel (My Work) is gone, came off clean , etc, etc, etc.

My gf was in it with me, and she's fine. She states she's fine.

Short version. The rear came loose, I lost control, jumped a median, hit an oncoming cab. Froze the traffic for about an hour.

We're both ok. Felt stupid, I couldn't regain the control. I should've had it.

I'll update you later with pics and such.

Did I mention that I just picked up the springs today from Evolution, and would you believe we were both going to wash the car when this happened.

Later,

LT

LT, I feel so bad for you.

I spun around once and hit a curb with my rear wheel once. The lightweight control arms don't like it when that happens. So very glad that only egos were temporarily strained and not necks!

-He won't engage!
-Keep sending him up.

You'll be back in the saddle in no time!

Sorry to learn of your mishap. But, I agree the most important thing is that everyone is OK. I hope that you stay in the ranks and replace it with another.

I have a court date in August. Possible ticket for reckless driving. I'll do a search about that, but I guess I could just ask you guys. Aren't Mid-A pretty well known for that one.

Gina states she's ok. She ended up with a scratched knee, but she states she's ok. Will just wait and see. I'll have myself checkout Monday, since I work in the hospital. I'll get the full x-ray, etc.

"LT, I am sorry to hear about your car. Glad to hear that you and your girlfriend are okay. How about the cab driver was he okay?"

Well, I made sure that everyone was ok at the site. I do have emergency medical training that I picked up while I was stationed at the Pentagon. Yeah, go figure, an emergery medic dietitian. I think I'm the only one of those. Cab driver said he was ok, but his passenger said he'll check him selfout due to injury to his arm from the arm rest. I'm hoping he is ok.

It could have been much worse, but luckily we were the only two cars involved.

For the NoVa peeps, this happened just South of the Pentagon, off 395 toward Ft. Meyers/Clarendon exit. I was merging in from the opposite side onto the same road.

I'll go down to the towing company to take pics tomorrow/Sunday. My top was down and it rained tonight as well, so that may suck. I'm hoping it's covered, but doubtful in this area. Hopefully the insurance will take that into consideration as well.

I was review my damages to the car in my head. Most of the damage is at the front and none at the back or the cabin except for driver's my rear wheel coming off, and damage to my driver's front wheel. So, I'm not really sure if it's totalled yet or not. I guess I'll just wait.

My airbags didn't go off and I don't know why or why not. I think I'll let my insurance company know about this one, and maybe American Honda Co.

If they will fix it, I'll give everyone my VIN and let everyone know that it was in an accident, and will sell it/trade it in. If being fixed, that could take months. Anybody has a beater for sale?

I don't know anything for sure at this point, but I'll find out more later.
Thanks again for your support, and I'll keep you informed.
