That's a nice downpayment...here are the basics for me:

1. $525 a month, which includes paying off my girlfriend's car. I put $2500 down.
2. $130 a month for collision, comprehensive, liability, uninsured motorist, underinsured motorist, etc. That's with a clean driving record...no tix or accidents in the last three years.

Wow, $10K down and you're in a good position. Lets say you get the car for $30,995. With tax and lic, about $33,000 out the door. So you with the $10K down, you'll be financing $23,000. I think American Honda Finance is offering a 4.9% APR for 60 months (based on you're credit). So expect to pay about $385-$390 per month.

Car payment: around $400 for a 60 month loan @7.5%, refinanced @ 4.9% payment now $385.54. Will be paid off about 13 months early, had some extra cash from successful investing, used it to pay ahead. Put $10,400 down, financed the remaining $20,000. Used 00' with 3,443 miles.

Insurance: $42.40 a month, 25 year old, no tickets/accidents/claims, full coverage but minimum levels of coverage, 1K deductible, multiple veh. discount, credit union discount, insured as a "recreational" veh. through GEICO.

4.9 isn't that great. that's not even subsidized.

i got 3.9 for 60 months on my 01. financed 22K, payment is 426. insurance is 130, i'm 28.

your payment will be similar to mine...the amount financed and the rate are the only variables. shop for a lower rate. with good credit, i would expect under 4.5%.

$385-390 isn't accurate, i ran the numbers...$432.99/mo. 23K for 60months.

Payment: $600 month- no money down + some negative equity on a previous vehicle. If I had put down $10K I would pay $400/month.

Insurance: $100 month/full coverage. 25 years old, no tickets/accidents/claims.
