Default my 1st convertible, how do I wash the top?

yeah I know, dumb question. But I've never owned a convertible before & I am about to get my car it's first washing. How do I was the top? How do I rinse it off? Can I use a car wash liquid on the top? Do I scrub it? if so with what?
Thank You,
Mark

good questions...
the top is vinyl, so you wash it with any quality product you can find. i suggest using the same car shampoo on the top that you use on the body.
the only diff is that you might want to use a good brush on the top too (if its not that dirty, you can just use your wash mitt).
after you dry it, be sure to put a preservative on.
either 303 or vinylex.
spray on a rag and rub on. let it sit for awhile (i do the rest of the car while it sits). then i buff it twice with two separate rags to get as much of the excess off as possible (to keep it from running all over the paint).

i would strongly recommend using the same car wash as used on the body also. Use the wash mit. Same goes for the wheels. don't use any type of wheel cleaner. I personally have never put anything on my top but car wash in two years. It looks better than new, better than the guys who use special cleaners and stuff. But it is garaged...

try to use a separate vinyl cleaner and vinyl protectant..

303 or Raggtop is good .

i'll normally apply vinyl cleaner to top, wash car with WG autobathe, then rinse down everything, dry car, apply vinyl protectant
