I have never done this with a car before, and my neighbor who races cars talked me into doing it. I will admit that I felt a little better afterwards knowing I was about to spend $600+ for my new tires. I would never do this with new tires.

Was this after or before your caliper job?
How did the calipers hold up?

What did you do just crank the wheel and floor it?

Looks like fun but gotta be carefull with that much smoke you might have blown or shredded a tire, that would have sucked.

 

Before, but I wasn't jamming on the brakes in a standstill, so I think they would be fine if they were done beforehand.

Yes. Turn the wheel all the way to the left or right, and then punch it and your are on a merry-go-round. Then, once you get going, turn the wheel the other way real fast, and go counter-clockwise.
