what do you mean put it back? there's 3 10mm bolts that hold it in place i believe. make sure when you put it back, you don't mangle the rubber ring that's between that and the block. when i put mine back i torqued the bolts down to 10 lb/ft.

thanks and im sorry about the misunderstanding. i left it in a zip lock and was hoping that sometime in the weekdays either you guys or honda can help me put it back.

the piece i was talking about is i think the piece that is located at the bottom of the v-tec solenoid. it was loose when we were putting in the turbo and the manifold so i turned it and it came out w/pressure. there are a total of 4 items. one big piece, a tube metal, a spring, and a screw fitting. i dont know what is it called but please help. thanks. i really appreciate your replies.

It is really hard to help you when your description of the parts are so vague. You could be describing a number of different things in that vicinity. Can you not simply put it back the way it came off? Maybe a picture?
You say it's the VTEC solenoid but we can't know that you know this for sure. For that matter, you could have the timing chain auto-tensioner in your zip lock bag.

it was directly beneath the vtec soleniod on the block. there is a flange for it for 2 10mm bolts. my friend called it a spool valve. there is a cylindrical piece that looks like a small deep socket with a hole only on one end. it fits over a piece that looks like its threaded with a spring on the end. the cylinder goes over the threaded piece and the spring, into the main part that goes into the block. its covered in oil. when it popped out, it made a slight whoosh noice like it was pressurized or nicely sealed in. when i try to put it back in, it won't go in all the way. thanks

The idle control mechanism is on the opposite side of the engine.
A picture might be in order. Like I said, the cam chain autotensioner is also directly below the VTEC solenoid. It is very possible that whatever it is you have in your ziplock bag, it's broken.

Sounds like the cam chain auto-tensioner:

How far is it apart? Did you also take the cover of the auto-tensioner off? Like this:
