I have a problem with my gas. Only mods I have done is a bored throttle body and my intake. I get 280km per tank...I dont know what that is in miles sorry). Yes I drive aggressive but I did a test on my last tank of gas and i did not beat the car what so ever. I only got like 340km. I fill esso 91 octane. Whats gonig on???? I recently changed my plugs to stock ones from Honda. Any advice? maybe fuel filter should be changed?

 

How many miles do you have on the car?

You probably need to have your injectors cleaned. I use Redline SI-1 and I never have a problem with injector fouling. Just a little added per tankful and you're good to go. You can use a full bottle for the first clean (do it right before you change your oil), and then add the recommended increment per tankful. Amsoil makes a similar product and it works well. I prefer the Redline just a little because it costs less and is easier to get you hands on.

Perhaps consider going to the Denso Iridium IK24 plugs to help out just a little.

You can never go wrong changing your fuel filter, however you would have some drivability problems as well if it was clogged.

Check your tire pressure, alignment, change all of your driveline fluids (engine, trans, diff), and basically give your car a good once over to see if there is something obvious being affected.

I have 92 000 km on the car. I bought it used at 85 000 and like I said I've changed every single fluid in it. Tranny, brake, coolant, obviously oil, diff etc. And I've only changed the plugs. I'll give the injector cleaner a shot. Should I buy 2 bottles? Maybe dump one whole thing for one fill up and then the second bottle little by little every time i fill?

 

I believe the injector cleaners should be put in before a fill up, and one bottle (at least of the stuff i've bought) is good for 20 gallons (sorry, don't know the conversion to liters off the top of my head), so at any rate, it should cover your entire tank.

You should only need one bottle.

 

I get almost 170 miles per tank. Thats like 272 km i think.
I got about the same before I went FI. My gas milage always sucked I have about 13000 miles on the car. My worst was 140 miles and best was just over 200 a tank.

 

I got 175.7 miles on my last tank full. That is 15.82 miles to the gallon. The S is not my daily driver, but when I do drive it, I drive balls to the walls.

175.7 miles is equivalent to 283.38 km. Dun't feel bad

 

what is your guys gas prices?

in hawaii its like 2.20 for 92 octane...

how much do u guys spend at the pump?

geez didnt think avg gas mileage would be that low....
gas prices here are a lil over 2 bucks for 93

 

I pay 228/gal 91 octane at 76 in Santa Rosa. Elsewhere around the bay it is 2.50-2.90 a gallon.
