I completed the install this weekend but didn't have the chance to snap pics due to our strange weather. The OEM exhaust wasn't as heavy as I thought it'd be, but it still weighed in at 59 pounds on a bathroom scale, even with my Tsudo Carbon-Ti mufflers. The heaviest part was the piping at the Y section.
Borrowed from another thread
The Spugen came in 3 pieces which meant I had it installed in only 30 minutes (no joke). The entire removal/install took about 2 hours at the most and I was shocked at the difference in weight. The Spugen weighed in at 30 pounds on my scale, considerably lighter than the OEM unit by far. The canisters are pure titanium and they didn't weigh a thing...
The sound is louder than it already was (I was stunned to say the least), but the tone it makes you feel like you got elephantitus. I've never hit VTEC yet (as I'm saving that for autocross, if I can get my work schedule covered of course) but as it is, it's so loud that my OEM stereo system isn't audible above 55mph... guess what my next project is.
damn that exhaust looks awesome! i heard these are a great bang-for-the-buck exhaust, but everyone says they're loud. if it wasn't for that, i'd consider them myself. let us know it works out for you (sound, performance, etc.) as u drive more.
I hope it didn't sound stupid at HRP during autocross, but that was my first time in VTEC with the Spugen! The sucker's loud, but I wonder how it sounds from outside the car?
Dude, your car looks really nice! It's so nice to see a fellow red around! All we gotta do now is get you on the track and turn in some low times! Beware though, auto-x is super addictive and its likely you won't stop once you've started.
If there's anything I can do to help prep your car for day to day driving or auto-x, just gimme a holler. My # is listed on the member thread.
I can't wait to get back from Bosnia and try an Auto-x. I hope it's kinda slow like the one this month. I don't want to wreck the car the first time out there, and a slow track definately seems safer to learn on then a fast track. Can't wait to start competeing with the rest of the S out here. I'm sure I will have a lot to learn from you guys, good thing you guys are all good people.
Thanks Steve for babysitting me at the track. I'll have to email you my video of your spin out.

Your only saying that my car looks good cause it NFR and looks almost exactly like yours from the outside.
But I know what you're saying cause NFR does look good.
Haha... I say that because it does look nicer than my car which is getting beat up from all the chips and rocks from Oahu's roads.
Don't worry too much about how the course it layed out... just go real easy in the first couple of runs then up the pace as you get more comfortable, that's all. If you drive like me then I'd be worried.
We're all part of the same team and we'd be happy to help you out with car preparation to helpful hints of the course. Colin, Stephen and I always try to communicate the areas of the course we can capitalize on, and exchange tips on how to take on the more technical sections. Of course no amount of advice will ever replace experience.
Someone said to me recently that Team S2000's goal is based on my best run... whatever I do, beat it by 2 seconds and automatic top-10 finish. Maybe if I can up my driving level, I could push Colin and Stephen into the top 2 slots!
