Default Paintball Challenge!

Fellow Gateway S2000 members... As you know, Bill, Shawn and I have recently joined the STLPC (St. Louis Prelude Club). Tom is also involved with this club. I would like to see if we can get a Paintball challenge underway near the end of the year (Sept., Oct., Nov. timeframe). Us S2000 members against the STLPC!?! I already have 8 or so STLPC members interested.

Any interest here?

I wanna come!!! Do you know which field it will be at?? I can set something up if no plans are already underway. I would suggest Gateway in St. Charles or Xtreme in Milstadt Illinois. Both of those fields are awesome. Xtreme is farther away but has more fields. Check out their site:

Have not yet made any plans yet, but want at least 12-16 players. I think we have 9 including yourself, so lets see who else from here wants to play...

I also want to do some price shopping. I have a friend that may be able to get us a discount. The ppl in STLPC don't have a lot of cash, so I want to make it as cheap as possible. Please check around and get some quotes for groups prices for the alloted timeframe.

Hey Gateway S2000 club... Come out and Playaya

Anyone else???

I know the owners of both fields because I used to run a paintball shop. Xtreme will most likely be the cheapest but the problem is if you rent equipment you have to buy field paint no matter what field you go to and that can be pricey. I can call around if you would like and see about the best deal. All I will need to know is a player count. I believe Xtreme has a package deal with like 500 balls, entry, and equipment rental. If for some reason I could talk them into letting us bring paint I can get us MAJOR discounts. I also have a bunch of equipment if any of you guys need to borrow stuff like better gogglest that won't fog becuase I have been playing since I was ten years old.

If you can do some legwork, that would be great. Am leaving for vacation Friday and will not get a chance 'till next week.
This will also allow ppl to post their interests. Let's shoot for 20 ppl and see what prices we can get.

Also look into ringing your own paint and what price reductions that would give us. Can you buy paint balls in stock somewhere cheap. Also... inventory your gear and see what you can lend out. I have NONE! and I'm sure other players don't have any either.

We need to see if we can get the price breakdown to the following

Number of hours play time:
Cost per person to play
Equiptment Rental
Paint cost
C02
Gun... and whatever else.

What we need is a final cost of items so each person can figure out what they have to spend.

See what you can do.

Thanks much!

I'll have to wait until Friday or Saturday to talk to the owner but some of those questions I can probably answer.

Number of hours play time: Generally private groups pick morning or afternoon and play from about 10-3 or 12-5. However, most of the time people run out of paint before their actual time is up.

Cost per person to play: This will all depend if they have to rent equipment and how much paint they want. It is roughly $17 for Entry/All day CO2/Equipment rental/Entry or $35 for the following plus 500 balls.

Equiptment Rental/Co2/Gun: See above (Guns are semi-autos)

Paint cost: Depends on if we can bring our own. If we can and I can get an estimate I can get us a great deal.

I have a couple extra guns but it will not save you any money. The thing that will come in handy is extra goggles because the ones that are included in the rental are not the greatest. I'm going to see what kind of deal if any I can get us. I'll keep you posted.

Mike- As soon as you get a head count let me know. That's the only way I can get a solid price. Also, see if the location of xtreme is cool with everyone if you can.

Am waiting on additional commitments from Gateway members. We only have a couple right now. STLPC has about 9 or so.

Am on vacation in Arizona right now, but will put out more feelers when I return.

Come on Gateway members.... come out and play... Anyone else interested?

Alex... Our head count is 10. 8 from the Prelude club 2 (you and I) from s2ki. Please put out some feelers on cost and supply cost breakdown. Can you still get paint in volume.. so we all chip in buy paint and then only need entry fee. PLease research paint cost breakdown. If you were able to find extra goggles, may I borough them? Extra gun as well. otherwise I'll go and purchase a new pair.

Would prefer morning play in Sept or Oct. Check out prices and I will get final commitments then.

Anyone else from s2ki interested?

Your car looks great! I'll get some figures for you. I have goggles you can borrow and probably a gun.
