Convex Mirrors
Im picming up my S2000 tommorow!! When i test drove it with the convertable up, i found it difficult to see the blind spot. When i look over my shoulder to change lanes to the left, there was no window or any spots for me to see if there was a car in the blind spot. Would a convex mirror do the trick? Or how would i see the blind spot with the convertable up? How do other s2000 drivers see it?
I have convex only for my driver side because I can't drive without the mirror. I almost rely only on the convex mirror when I make my lane changes. I think it almost a must to have that little mirror if you don't have your top down all the time like some of the member here.
You can get a convex driver's side mirror from Muz Accessories

It's a must have. In the early days of S2Ki.com there were some instructions for flipping around one of the pieces inside the driver's side mirror to give more adjustment to the left. Do a search it might still be there.
That being said, the convex mirror from Muz is still the best option. It's actually the passenger side replacement mirror for the JDM market and snaps in perfectly.

checking the right blind spot is not a problem because you could just look turn your head and look through the rear window. as for the left side, the trick is to lean forward enough so that you can turn your head and see through the side window to check the left blind spot (no, i do not mean sticking your head out the window.) it's a bit ackward at first, but after a while, it becomes second nature. i do not have a convex mirror because i personally do not find it necessary.

Adjust your driver's side mirror out really far. Forget about overlapping views between the side and rear view mirrors like most of us usually do. The blind spot is just too darn huge to overlap views in this car.
Back in when possible.
Drop the top to get out. It is powered anyway, and is one of the fastest on the market, so there's really no extra effort involved. That will also inspire you to keep the top down and drive on!!!!
Beep the horn a couple times as you back out VERY SLOWLY.
Whatever you do......don't ASSUME it is clear. That can be expensive.

I am leaving right now to pick up my S2000 in GPW with Tan Interior. I have done my research and i feel as if the MY04 would be better for me. Whether it is slower on track or anywhere, i think i need some torque in the mid range. Also, they look HOT! Ill try to post some pics when i get the chance. As for getting the convex mirrors, i think im going to try driving without it for about a week or two and see if im still in a rut. If i still seem as if im not comfortable about driving the S, then i would try to Convex out.
As for me leaning forward and looking to the back left, it seems like it would work, but who knows, it might not work as my second nature. I will see how it goes. Thanks everyone who responded to this!
