I must say I had a great time on Sunday. Great roads, fast cars, great/fast people, and just a lot of fun.
For those that don't know my little story... Close to the end of the trip I had to turn back to get some gas. I was too low to make it back and just about ran out.
Hunfutz followed me back to the gas station in the very, very small town we were in. I pull up to the gas station and there is "ONE" 87-octane pump, with one nozzle. There is a guy there filling up his car.
He says, "are you looking to get some gas?" I say, "yea..".
He says to me, "Well, you need your own key... Do you have one?"
I say, "No." (thinking in my head, I'll just go in the store and ask for "a key".
I say to the nice gentleman, "Where can I get a key?"
He then tells me, "Well, you have to have your OWN key!"
I say, "Own key???"
He says, "Yes, that's right, we all have our own keys here..."
I look above the gas pump, and there is this big box that looks like a mailbox grid like you would see in an apartment complex.
Like this:
He now says, "You have to put in your "special key" and turn it to get the gas to turn on".
He then says to me, "How much gas do you need, and I'll let you put in a few gallons on my key!"
I gave him $5, and put in about three gallons.
I've never seen something like this before.
I also never got to tell the story about my little adventure, so now you all know. If you need gas, chance are, you aren't going to get it at that station.

YES! Great write-up and pictures, too! Thanks, Jason, for explaining the 'gas station' we stopped at - What a Trip!! Enjoyed our short time together, and look forward to meeting again
As a side note to your last picture... only Gene knows that I really have Brass Ones!
Jason,
Nice pictures. Especially the one of the 442 that rolled into the middle of our group at that stop sign.
The few pictures that I took at the stops are too much like the others to post, just for the sake of posting. But I really enjoy some of the shots while we are driving.
