Default How to hook up ESM

I just got my comptech S/C and the install went very fast. I need to know how to hook up the ESM???? I got the Dir from comptech but it does not really tell me where to connect them. I just need to know where on the ECU I have to splice them in. Thanks A lot
Kenny

I did mine recently and I opted to use the supplied crimp connectors and have since soldered the ESM to a Jaker harness I got from another member, The power leads red and black just tap into the stock harness where as the Map Sensor wire is actually cut ( you only cut the map sensor wire nothing else ) and the instructions explain which wire goes to either the ECU or the map sensor itself! I don't have pics but I advise you to take your seat out and get on your back with a shop light to really see the wires - Call shad at comptech if you need any help figuring what wire goes where - read through the directions while you are under the dash and it will make sense - you have to take your time but you will find the wires you are looking for!
Good Luck!

These are the directions I sent another member in a PM. I wouldn't use the T-tap connections, but shrink wrapped crimp or soldered ones.

All connections are on connector C 31pins,

The black wire goes to pin 7 green/white use a t-tap splice connector Do not cut the wire going from the computer
The red wire goes to pin 19 yellow/red use a t-tap splice
do not cut the wire going from the computer
Cut the green/red wire pin 17 from the computer. Cut it long enough so you can crimp the wires.
Attach the green ESM wire to the green red wire you just cut going towards the computer.
Attach the blue ESM wire to the green/red wire you cut going towards the rest of the wiring harness.

I do not have the connectors that came with the kit. I know I can go get some but I don't like using the T-taps. Why cant I cut the wires going to the ECU and Soilder/tin the ESM in. I do a lot of soldering at work and am very good with an iron. How else would I connect the wires if I can't cut them???????
BTW The next thing I need help with is the Vacume lines that run from the By-pass valve to where????????? Do I connect them to the little black box?????Will take pics if no one knows what im talking about........
Thanks again Kenny

Here's a diagram I drew that should help. Pictures are worth 1000 words.
I used T-taps. The blue kind w/ spade terminal connections. Wiring is straight forward just locate the ECU, and the correct pin. Everything is color cordinated Hope this helps
