Default Have to sell my s2000

This car is just too much for a college kid. Such a great car that it doesn't belong in my party town neighborhood, where clumsy drunk kids keep scatching it and hitting it with their car. Every 3 weeks there's some kind of new scatch on the car. Insurance is hell as well. It's only a two seater too. Plus I need trunk space.

I love the car, but it's just not one for a college kid (well, at least one that attends UCSB). I do NEED to get something cheaper. I won't get anything near as great as the s, but some suggestions from you guys would really help.

I'm thinking RSX type-s or WRX (non-sti of course). Any other suggestions? Civic and Integra are also in mind, but I really need something that's cheap to mod.

I'm open to other suggestions as well...

Here's some background info: I'm 19 years old and I make 7 bucks an hour. I also live in Santa Barbara California.

So what do you guys think?

damn...that sux that your S is in a rough part of town where other people don't appriciate it.

Luckily, mine is in a garage, as I'm 18 and live in San Luis Obispo.

If you HAVE to get rid of it...a WRX sedan is always nice...and easily moded.

If your S2000 is getting all banged up at UCSB, you really shouldn't be looking at getting any car that is remotely nice. Getting a Civic or Integra is a bad idea because it will get stolen in a few seconds. The RSX and WRX are both bigger than the S and i guess will be more prone to minor accidents in tight parking lots.

My advice for you is that maybe you should keep your S2000 and maybe a friend or family member that lives off campus can lend you a parking space so that your car can be safe. Get a beater to transport yourself on the weekends to pick up your S2k .

$7/hr. man if i were you i would get the cheapest thing that runs. then i would graduate college, keep my crappy car for the memories, then buy another S.
for reals, if you are in school, you don't need the S to be another stress on you on top of studies, then you gotta work to make the payments.
i don't know, i aint tryin to play daddy, but i would just get a beater, especially in a college town.
hope it all works out for you.
peace.
