Default Megameet 2! - 9th-11th September 2005

Ade has struck while the iron is hot, and booked a hotel for the function in Shrewsbury ready for MM2 already. So you all have enough notice and can make arrangements etc, the dates will be....

9th, 10th , 11th of September 2005.

I'm sure we'll have the usual:
  • Fantastic roads
  • Drive by's
  • The odd cahv'd up motor
  • Mad Hats
  • Cuddly Toy
  • Record Breaking Charity Raisng evening
  • Drunken Antics
  • Sunday recovery
  • DVD Production
Any feedback you all have, or anything you'd like to see added to the formula for megameet, or suggestions, just shout! (Please try and keep things on topic, it makes it easier! )

Some feedback for you:

Please can you send out the final briefing a little sooner next time if possible. We set off up North before Ade sent out the emails this time. Thanks!

It was a great weekend, thanks to everyone who made it. On the list of hotels any chance of trying to book the Lord Hill Hotel, mainly thinking of the "carpark" and the "function room" Lets see if we can get the 100 cars.

Thank

Dave

Count me in - and can we have name badges please. I found it a bit of a nuisance having to keep asking peoples names - even some who I had met before.

Name and S2ki handle plus Avatar if you like!

We'll be there.
Name/handle/avatar badges are a good idea.

I did a poll before SM3 on whether we should have name badges - I know I sometimes struggle to remember the names of people I have only met once before (impending Alzheimer's, no doubt! ) and agree it would make it easier to identify people.

The poll was split, with a small majority in favour of no badges, as I recall. The main objection (which which I guess I have to agree) is that it's a bit geeky and smacks too much of those crappy work conferences most of us will have been forced to attend.

Maybe another poll is required.....

Can we have drive letters for car windscreens?

S1, S2

M1, M2

F - Fast

FM - Feckin Mental.

Would help the leaders know who's in what group and remind some of the drivers too.
If an F car came up behind an M car it would be allowed past quicker too.
