Default snow tires for the winter car

Toyo G02?
Perilli Wintercraver?
Kumho KW 17 or 19?

Price range is around the same, but which one should I get?

Are you picking these because of price? Blizzaks tend to be the most widely used but if you must pick from only those you posted, I suggest you go check them all out. Look for good deep grooves that will get you through the snow. Look for lots of ice siping (those little wavey lines in the rubber) to get you through the ice. Also, push on the rubber in the tread itself. Get the one that is the softest. This will get your through the cold. The softer the rubber, the better is it in the cold but the more it will wear in the warm.

^^^ the above link is where I am looking to buy the tires from...

from your information, visually the Toyo and KW19 seems to be nice....
$100 difference between the two, I might go for the KW19's...

Funny thing Simon,

I was doing some research last week and the Kumho's were given bad review! It was dissqualified because it failed to provide traction on slippery surface. I forgot where I read it, but that site also gave Artic Alpines a bad review as well....

Michelin just came out with the Artic Ice. They are the new tire that is taking over from the Alpin, but I'm not sure you may need a Pilot Alpin 2 that is the high performance sport winter tire.

They are probably out of your price range though!

I just bought the kw19s for our s2k... awesome looking tread, and I've heard very very good things about them

On my Z, I run Toyo Observe g02+, awesome tire... it's hard to trigger traction control with these things unless you're driving at speeds you shouldn't be

I had KW15's on the RSX way back. They seeemd to do just fine.

The KW11's had a softer sidewall and a much lower speed rating.
