Default Another S out of commission.

Hey everyone,

It's true, I'm the latest victim of hydrolock. Seems due to the heavy rain we had on Long Island on Friday, some water got into my intake (AEM V2 ) over night. When I tried to start the motor, KABOOM. I had Billman over to check the motor, and when he handed me part of my oil pan, from under my car, I knew it was going to be a bad day. I'm sure Bill will be able to chime in with alot more useful information then me ... but just as a friendly reminder: BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CAI!!! I did NOT drive thru a puddle, or submerge my car or ANYTHING. All I did was start it, after the rain had stopped.

Also would like to apologize if I'm being rather vague in my description, I've just told this story so many times since yesterday, my mind is toast.

I got about 4 - 5 table spoons worth of water in (from my guess). It was enough to blow the rod right thru the bottom of the block and into the oil pan. I'm sure Bill can answer anything else ... just be very careful all you CAI users ... I really thought you would need to drive thru a puddle for this crap to happen.

Not much I can do ... I just need to accept it and deal ... last month my top was knifed for a break in & now this. Just need to cover her for the winter and will hopefully have her running by the summer.

Dan

PS: If anyone is selling a motor or knows someone who is, PLEASE PM ME. Thanks!
