Wondering what the numbers are gonna be like

 

I've read a lot of theories here on S2KI about how a roots type blower wouldn't work well on this motor due to the high RPMs. It will be interesting to see the results.

 

Did it say when it would become available?

 

Is there a real advantage with using this type of supercharger over a turbo?

I dunno about this one....I mean, it sounds promising.....but as gernby had mentioned earlier, I also remember reading/hearing about this type of blower not being ideal for us due to the high RPMs our engines see....

It'll definitely be interesting to see how this works out....if they can keep the cost of the kit reasonable, produce good gains, and maintain reliability, that would be excellent...good luck to them

 

Why would it be more reliable than a turbo. So far, turbos seem to be considerably less trouble than SCs for the S2000. Granted, I've never owned either of them, but the SC guys sure seem to have a lot of problems with their hardware.

 

Ah, well, if I understand this design properly, the way it works means that regardless of the speed the compressor is spinning, the amount of boost is constant. So if it's tuned for 6psi, it'll provide that all the way from idle to redline.

For what it's worth, BRP started their development a couple or three months ago this year. I suspect it'll be quite a while before we see a final product, assuming they can engineer one they feel is worth selling. They're only at the CAD/mockup stage right now, testing fitment I assume.
