Default Need new seats- suggestions?

I'm pretty pissed off right now, so no, I didn't search. I did read the other concurrent thread in here. Here is the thread concerning the theft.

I'm interested in the choices you all have made or wish to make. I'm 5'8", 160lbs, and have a 33" waist. Seat weight, support are key components. Some padding will be necessary for the long trips/meets.

Thank you for taking the time to read/post. Links are appreciated. This hasn't been the best day.

Sparco Rev seats provide more support than stock, are reasonably priced and allow you to use 5/6 pt. harnesses. They weigh less than stock, too. Although they don't offer the ultimate support that you'd get form a full on racing seat, neither do you have to worry about a mechanic not being able to slide his fat ass into your car.

With that said, a Rev is my passenger seat and a Recaro SPG is my driver's seat. Bulletproof automotive carries both of 'em and sells Taitec rails to match.

Recaro SPG with Taitec should fit you well. I drive mine hundreds of miles to/from the track and keep them in most of the time for street too..... very snug and comfortable like a worn glove. I'm 5'7", 165, 33" waist. Got them from Science of Speed in AZ.

Recaro is the only way... have 2 Pole Position in my WRX for the track. They're a little wider and the thigh support is not as extreme allowing easier ingress and egress.

If you want a reclining seat, the Recaro Sport is really really nice... I think they may have changed the name now though.

Are you sure these will fit the S?

^ScienceofSpeed would be able to help you there. They sell Pole Positions and rails for NSXs and S2000s. If they fit, Chris would know.

Thank you all. Since there is not a shop really close, I cannot just go sit in a bunch of different ones. And yes, I may end up having to get 2 seats for street and one dedicated for track. My wife or son goes to many of the meets/events.

I just received a call stating the estimated loss in $$$. :fallsonfloor:

Skip-

If you come up to Northern Virginia, OG Racing in Sterling has all of their seats out so you can sit in them. I believe the bulk (if not all) of them are Sparco.

Skip, with the money you get from them seats, you will be able to get ANY racing seat on the market. I know Gfactor was looking to get rid of his Brides........

Hell, you can do even better than that. You should have enough to pick up a really nice set of race seats AND a nice set of used S2000 seats in the for sale forum.
