Default Modifry's rev beeper..

On a UK spec S2K? I just got the kit (my daughter imported it for me for Xmas = one happy Dad!) but there are no instructions in the box. I'm not an electronics whiz (but I'm OK working on simple stuff) and can anyone here give me some idiot proof instructions on how to wire this in?

Thanks in advance guys and Happy Christmas to you all

It's a great mod if you track your car, so you don't have to look at the tachometer.

Instructions are the same but you have to run a longer lead to the ECU. I used one of the vampire taps that came with it to tap into the rev signal lead, ran the wire under the dash to the drivers side (RHD) and connected the red and black power leads into +12V and 0V on the fuse box.

One of my favourite mods. The AEM EMS temperature gauge driver would be my favourite mod but your daughter and others keep buying Modifry's other mods so he hasn't had time to finish it yet!!!

OK, so I have now installed the device but I can't get the damn thing to work (I've taken the revs up to 9,000 rpm and not a single beep!)
The dip switches are set ok:

The device is installed ok and I have checked 12v ignition fed live and ground on the device, both are ok.

So, I assume I have hooked up to the wrong wire for the tacho' feed (see my connection below). I have checked continuity between the OEM multiplug and the device and this is ok so have I hit the wrong wire here? If so, where the hell is the right one (the multiplugs on my UK RHD S2000 look nothing like the ones on the American LHD in the on-line instructions).

Can anyone help me with (idiot proof!) instructions on how to find the tacho' wire?

Sounds like you have the wrong signal wire. I'll take a picture of mine later and post it.

Just out of interest, what side did you install it on? Mine is installed on the RHD drivers side but with a long wire to the Rev signal on the ECU loom. I don't think there is a Rev signal on the drivers side.

On second thought I woun't be able to take pictures as the connection is on the ECU loom and covered by body panels.

The reason the plugs look diferent is that the instructions suggest you use the cruise control connectors. We don't have cruise control!

You need to connect it on the ECU:

Thanks AusS2000, I'll have another go tomorrow (10.30pm in the UK now) and let you know how I get on.

BTW I have installed the whole set-up on passenger side with the beeper just hidden by the pull-off panel. I have a speed trap detector fitted in this area also and I can hear that OK so I'm guessing the rev beeper will be audible. If not, then I can easily move the beeper (I'm just not so good on guessing how to wire things up - everything else I've ever bought has had instructions ).

To be fair, it does have instructions. It's just that yours and my S are not the same as the USDM model. I'm sure Modifry is more than willing to add a note for RHD customers. I guess it's just that previous customers (well, me) didn't kick up a fuss.
