removed the windshield frame tape? I would like to see what the car looks like with yellow instead of the black frame.

This one is easy. Your Honda dealer has a poster of all the MY2001 Hondas. The S2K in the poster is a yellow with the tape removed.

The S2K comes with black window frames...all the colors have a vinyl tape that blacks it out. You can remove it to get the body matched color. have fun!

Except black. The fact that the blacks do not have the tape proves that the function is purely cosmetic.

I actually prefer the black tape and no one (except us) can tell the difference. Removing it might reveal damage and it might not be clear coated. Plus, black reduces sun glare (heh-heh)

Yes, I did have many many deep scratches that did not come out even with professional rubbing compound. Keep in mind, your dealer will most likely not cover any damages if you remove your tape and find some. IMO, it looks a million times better without the tape, and luckily I had a great body shop repaint it, and so far I hear (3 days away til I can see it again!) that you can't tell anything was ever wrong.
