First Official 2005 Mod Day

We're having the first Mod Day in Hampton Roads, Virginia this April Fool's weekend. It was a tad chilly last April when we had it in Maryland, so the decision was made to have it farther South. We'll follow this one up probably around June or July further North.

This thread is started with plenty of warning (about 82 days worth) so people can schedule ahead and a few fence-sitting vendors can decide whether the turnout will be great enough to make a special appearance

I'll put ACLR8 and dave22's address in this post down the road, but they are only 15 minutes South of Williamsburg. There are plenty of places to eat within five minutes of their house and we will probably pull out the bbq for hotdogs and hamburgers. There are also plenty of places to stay in case you want to book a hotel room. In typical Mid-A fashion there will probably be some drinking during some part of the weekend although the event is only on Saturday the 2nd.



Mod Day Specials (hopefully adding more later)

1. w1ngman will be there to clear one set of headlight corners - for a special Mod-Day discount of $115 .....if nothing changes, this slot has been filled by Nandska

2. One of our Audi friends purchased a fender roller that we'll be practising up on in Hampton Roads over the next few months, so we will probably be able to get two or three cars rolled in a day. To roll fenders will come with a $15 rental fee for each axle to go back to the owner of the roller. You will be the one rolling your own fenders, but there will be a few of us around to advise you or hold the heat gun.

3. A few folks attending can hook you up with the "Top-Down-While-Rolling" mod (T.D.W.R.) for about $.22 (yes that is cents ).

4. A few local (and not so local) vendors have expressed an interest in doing something for our awesome community, but are waiting to gauge the attendance before unveiling the extent of their contribution - keep an eye out for updates on this.

6. Custom Car Care (about 3 miles away from Rob and Dave's house) has offered to host a Dyno Evening which should start around 6:00 PM. We are currently gauging interest to see what the price will be, so post up so an estimated number of cars Dynoing can be given to CCC. We're expecting the price to be around $65 for 3 pulls on the DynaPack.
