Thumbs up EGR Exhaust Gas Recalculating Valve

Does the S2000 have an EGR valve if so where is it at?

I understand the EGR is only open during partial throttle to keep emissions down and the EGR closes during full throttle.

I would like to cap the EGR to reduce the build up of residual exhaust

Yes it does have one and if you cap it your check light will come on.Not a smart idea in my opinion.Unless your running an aem ems ecu.

No, we don't have an EGR, the S2000 uses overlap to make up for it. Look at the header, there is no EGR connection to it.

The EGR on the 90 accord was not connected to the header.

There was some internal piping in the block that allowed the exhaust gas to reach the EGR Valve.

I know these modern cars are all computer controlled, but why would the exhaust gasses need to be "recalculated"?

By recirculating Exhaust gases, NOX emmisions are reduced.
