Default people with carbon fiber hood

hey guys ever since i got my oem style cb hood from vis installed i notice in the highway that it is moving up and down as if its ready to blow off. does this happen to any of you guys? i heard before that cb hood flies off sometimes. do you think hood pins would help? i did however went like 130 and boy was that hood shaking.. let me know if u guys notice the same thing and what do you guys do to stop it?

Hood pins will help, carbon fiber flexes a lot more than aluminum, thats why just the factory latch isn't doing it for you.

Mine did the same. I installed hood pins. I believe the forum store "GoFastLabs" sells them.

you need hood pins bro no matter what to keep it down. to light. i bought mine off of ebay for 25 bucks candian shipped to my door. check ebay out. good luck

Bringing up this subject I wanted to ask what happens in the case of the Mugen Carbon Fiber and Mugen Fiberglass hardtops. Do they have this effect as well. Is the installatioand fitting good and solid? Is it noisy or less than the OEM hardtop?

Didn't you ever notice the OEM hood fluttering? Mine has always done it.

long time ago i had a VIS hood on and never had a problems like this
although i saw my friend's CF flying away while he was driving right next to me before that

that would suck if your hood went flying off while you're driving on the highway....
