aero dynamics played an important role in this type of racing. every single car had a large wing for downforce. also, at the end of the video, you can see the driver riding the other car's draft, to pass.

 

What is that sound and what car is he driving?

 

so what exactly is that sound? did you guys resolve on what it was? and how is this guy passing every single car that he comes across....good driver? perhaps? or the car.................

 

They seemed to just moved out of his way when he got behind them.

 

Sounds like the gears of a straight cut tranny.
