Highly doubt that if you had an impact strong enough which would necessitate the engine falling out an Xbrace would remain intact.

Agreed. The bolts would shear and the engine would fall anyways. And if not, at least the car handled well while it was intact.

... I don't mind the crushed legs, but I am a bit concerned about the aerodynamic drag.

I have noticed that my car now tops out at 272km/h instead of 273km/h.

Adding insult to injury, fuel consumption has gone up. I used to go for 257 miles on a tank full, while now I grind to a halt a few yards short of that.

Can I sue Spoon for damages?

HUmmm, Stiffer car, better handling, more power and road control.... I remember telling my parents about my TT 300ZX years ago. Lead them to believe that a better performing car is actually safer because I can use the car's performance capabilities to avoid accidents. I hope this rule applies to the X-brace....
