Richmond VA (Sept 11, 12, 13???)
I will be in Richmond on business (Sept 11 - 13) but with my S2000 again this coming week. Last time I was in Richmond, I met up with VA S2K, AgS2K and Chipster and it could'nt have been better! Their hospitality was first rate! Would love a remake!
I will be in town again, this time a little longer and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet up. We could have dinner somewhere out on the town as I am not very familiar with Richmond! I was thinking of going to Havana '59 the last time. . .but had the meetings rearranged! Also, any good drives out near Richmond?
PM me or post here if you are interested! Thanks!

I could be up for something and not to dash your plans, I'd prefer not Havana. There are many other "bottom" or "slip" restaurants if you wanna go down there though. My suggested list would be: Bottoms-up pizza, Legends Brewery, or Baja Bean company (in the fan). All have indoor or outdoor seating if it's nice out
Or if you wanna hang out in the West End, I know of some good restaurants and some back roads out past Manakin.

I'm busy on the 11th, but right now I'm open for something on the 12th or 13th. I'd add Sine (Irish pub) to the list of possible places in Shockoe Bottom, but Legend is great too!
West End would be more convenient for us all, I think, but I haven't yet taken "Silvia" down to the bottom, so that could be fun. (By the way, my wife named the car, I didn't.)

Hey gang! Sorry I didn't get back to all of you. Amber and I have been on vacation in NC (sorry Raul, wasn't able to drop by and see ya
). I just put over 1000 miles on my baby and she was fantastic the entire time
, despite heavy rains in the Wilmington area
. Over the weekend, I washed and waxed her (Zaino of course) and she's looking beautiful for the meet!!
Any of the dates mentioned above work for me..........preferably something in the West End. I also know of a great restaurant in Carytown called Baker's Crust.........EXCELLENT munchables and amble parking. We could also do Hops maybe or one of the those restaurants DaveZ mentioned in the Manakin area? How about a mini-drive this time???

These all sound great. . .the Havana '59 was not really planned, I had just heard a few good things the last time I was in town. The other restaurant suggestions sound awesome! They definately do not sound like chain retaurants which is something I always like to try!
Not sure where the West end or bottom is but I am game for any of it or all of it!
I will PM each of you with my cell # (it's free, it's business). . .
I plan on arriving in Richmond in plenty of time to grab dinner tonight and then of course Tuesday, I will be available to do anything after 5pm and same for Wednesday. . .
Looking forward to it!

Sounds awesome! Perhaps we can make visiting this part of Richmond an experience to remember!
Thanks! I am getting ready to leave New Bern shortly so I will be in Richmond by 8 pm (the latest). . .

Ok, looks like the 11th is not gonna be good (I'm busy too), so how about we settle on the 12th?
I can take us on a little twisty route out past Manakin (Mike, that's the one we took). Will probably be some evening traffic, but hey, that's life. Someone pick a start time!
Restaurants:
West End:
Beyond the West End:
I Recommend picking something in the West End. Other than that the only places I'd say are really worth the trip downtown are Legends and Bottoms Up Pizza.
Everything I listed, except for hops and manila manila, has inside or outside dining. I vote for McAllisters.

11th or 12 is fine with me. I agree that we should drive first and sit and eat. I am suggesting that we drive around the west end, maybe manakin, either up broad st or patterson, or better yet, drive from the short pump area, to the white oak area and cut across to patterson ave. anything is actually good for me. i wouldn't mind driving around town.
as for dinner, i really don't like hops all that much. double T down at carytown is far better place for ribs.
