any chance for a SC S to win from a 10mph rolling? please share your experience.

 

Ive run a hardtop (dont know if it was an smg or a 6speed) from about 10mph. I didnt think he was going to go for it, but he did, so I stood on it at about 10mph, and he shot out on me, but I was able to reverse the pull and get a fender on him before we shut it down.

That was a chance encounter on the street, but I dont see why a blown S2k wouldnt be competitive.

 

A blown S2K should be able to hang with or beat a vert E46 M3 and should at least be competitive with a coupe.

 

It's too bad the vert versions are slower than the coupes.... that being said, I expect great things from the Cayman!

 

um yeah i beat a s2000 in the m3... we met up at a starbucks. and i told him i used to have a s2000 and he said nice upgrade. and he said he beat a m3 b4. and i said probably not this one he was supercharged by vortech beat t by a couple of cars. took it on a back road where cops are visible from a mile away. and took it about a good 1/8h mile beat it by a few cars.

my car 01 coupe 6spd. we raced from a stop and from a 30 and 60 roll.
from a stop i had about a 2k launch i had sport package too (and it matters)

 

About almost 2 years ago I ran my E46 M3 against Doc on the highway. He has a SC on his S.

We were on a club drive and he was in front of me. I heard him downshift and we both went for it, just to see what would happen. As we were getting into the speeds that I won't mention on the board, I was beginning to reel him in, slowly. I would have overtaken him, but there was traffic coming up so we had to let off.

Azndrunkyoon, what sports package are you talking about? There is no sports package on an M3. I am curious to know what you are talking about.

Ran a friend's SMG E46 hardtop a few times 40-120 and he would consistently take me by a car or thereabouts. Fair races, even starts, no passengers. I have the Comptech+AC, stock pulley + comptech exhaust (no sig. gain there). The M3 is faster than my S although I'm way closer than I was stock.

 

Yep, I was the one driving the M3 though. I short shifted not realizing the S was SC until it was too late. He was able to pull slightly.

 

what are the 1/4 mile times for the M3? Isn't it only low 13's?

 

I saw on Roadfly.org that somebody ran a 12.7. I am pretty sure he was stock, but I can't remember.
