Fall Colors is BACK (was no longer).
I know...I HATE that...I was going to try to make it this year. Anybody in Northeast Tennessee or somewhere closer to Texas want to pick up the slack? We could have it here and I'd organize, but it couldn't be until mid-November
I'm sure the local communities will pick up some slack and organize great events. Fall Colors will be missed, though. For those who didn't make it in previous years, it's a shame you won't have the chance.
Again, best wishes to Rick as he pursues other important parts of his life.

When Rick told me he was happy to have someone else organize this year's Spring Fling, I could tell the pressure was on. I think Fall Colors was just getting too big and complicated - especially with the introduction of track days. As others have said in relation to their roles on s2ki.com, when it gets to be more work than fun, it's time for a change. I'm very happy I got to participate in the last two Fall Colors...I met many of you at 03 for the first time and got the chance to renew and make new friendships at 04. Thanks, Rick!!

I don't think this is the end of Fall Colors, surely someone will step up to the plate, don't you think?

Sad, but understandable, Mike. Last year, with something like 150+ cars, there were a couple of incidents on the road, and several incidents on the track.
I think everybody took all that with good humor, but I'm fairly certain that another road event would've been a disaster. And, people were bitching about just having a track event -- so...
Anyway, those of us who got to be part of the great times can relish that, and I hope some of the local communities will step up and offer some kick-ass (if smaller) events in the future.
The bond of S ownership remains strong!

I wish Rick much luck with his new found time!
