I have a my04 stock and my little brothers friend's dad has one that he drives, and being the young one her is (16) he likes to talk it up... i know there not as fast as the s2k, but anyone ever race one???

 

If it isn't turbo or a RX-7 swap, you will have a huge advantage. I am not going to say you will win no matter what (I don't like magazine racing...) but you will have to screw up big time to lose.

Stock they are about as fast as an RSX-S stock.

 

If it's stock, even if it has all bolt ons U will muirder it like it was standing still.

I ran one today in my Z.. (highway race from about a 80 roll... didn't even downshift to 4th.. kept it in 5th and walked his ass..... they are in slow without F/I

RX8's are Slooooowwww....When they 1st came out I went on a test drive, thinking they would at least stack up or equal the old rx7...No where even close...When I got on the highway the salesman looked at me with a "Smirk of confidence" saying "go ahead and try her out" -He chuckled slightly-...I downshifted into 3rd and thought i was in 5th...I looked back at him and said..."you're proud of this car?"..His smirk faded quickly and I went straight back to the dealership. An s2k will own it no sweat.

 

i raced one about a month ago, i dont think this guy had any mods. we were going about 60 he dropped gear and acted like a bad a$$ for about two seconds till i dropped down to 4th (3rd would have been optimal) and walked on him very hard... you definatly take him like everyone else said.

 

I've raped every RX-8 I've run...it's never even close. They're complete turds upwards of about 120mph and by about 150mph they're in a different zip.
