Default Who called someone a "SeaCow" in the Hilton?

Apparently an S2000 owner or event participant called one of the Smoky Mountain Romance Writers a "SeaCow" in the pool/spa area. She apparently ran to her room in tears and wrote a complaint to Hilton corporate. While talking to the hotel about planning next year's event, it was shared with me. While somewhat funny, that is hurtful. Was alchohol to blame?

Whoever did it, that was rude, childish, and uncalled for. We may have been there to have fun, but we are adults. It was stupid too, as you should make SURE you are out of earshot of those you are mocking.

Who writes a corporate office because they were called a rude name by a non-employee?

This serves as a reminder that we represent our group when we are all together.

This should be a reminder that ones actions do have an effect on the group as whole; when we're driving and afterwards.

Although in Sheila's recent "so tell me" thread, I contended that a romance writer I encountered may have suffered with a "Homeo-thermostatic-regulatory" challenge...I never referred to any of them on-site in a derogatory fashion.

The Canucks are a mean evil bunch, with no respect for their little brothers from the south.
