I've had a few people contemplating clearing their headlights.. I'm willing to let anyone who wants to do it at my house, and if they remove the headlights, I'll do the separation. I haven't had any issues with fogging, you probably have a tiny spot you missed with silicone . Anyways as soon as I recieve my brake lines, I'm going to schedule the next tech day.

If you want to get intouch with Generation 1, please look at my initial thread. THey use a ton of Silicon on the headlight which seals it completely.

Sylvain, how did your clears turn out? Any problems like Tom? How's the bumper?

Andrew...

I had the fog too, had to remove the bumper three times to fix it and probably two and half tubes of silicone for each light. First try was with windshield sealant, and next tube was with the black silicone for gasket heads. Also, had to remove one of the lights to shoot the heat gun into the one of the holes for the lights for about a half an hour to completely dry it before re-installing. This was on the third try, and now no fog....yet *crosses fingers* Silicone that mofo to hell, then blast it with heat to dissapate all the moisture inside, and that should do it. Hopefully when it starts to rain, its sealed completely but....

My turn signals are still very visible, FYI to everyone, you can NOT legally have cleared headlights AND cleared side markers. One must remain orange. However I doubt many cops know this. Someone else was taking the pics during the procedure, but I can post some pics of the finished job. DISCLAIMER: It's pretty hard to get your headlights flush with the body, the beams are unaffected, but it doesn't look perfect. My car is going to the shop for a new front bumper anyways, so they're going to re-align them. You might need to pay a shop 50 bucks to get this done if you have a lot of problems... As for next tech day, if my brake lines arrive today or tomorow, I'm going to be working on my car sunday. Otherwise I might do it sometime in the evening next week..
