Default Ran my friends Mustang GT

(Background) My friend also my co-worker got a GT a couple of months ago not the new style but the style right before it. He was telling everyone about how its ohh so fast and crap and everyone is all about it while I get the "your car is cute" anyway I tried racing him before while some chick also a co-worker was with him and he would not go.
Well finally tonight we got a chance to run, we had just dropped of a friend that was in my other friends jeep. we got back on the highway 3 lane and the GT guy flies right by us so I downshift to 2nd and by the time I red line I'm on his a$$ mind you that he isn't letting me catch up but I do, I go to third and by the end I am allready out in front at least a fender length into fourth we go into a long right curve he is on the inside and I am steadilly pulling we come to an uphill straight as I go into fifth I am about two car lengths ahead I let off I remember seeing 138 on the speedo. I am not big on racing on the highway but I said phuck it, it was probably the only time he will run he hates the fact that a Honda can whip his a$$ he won't race my friend in the jeep (he has a civic with an H22 in it). Anyhow I get a call right afterwards from the GT guy saying some crap about how he is alomst out of gas and his A/C was on and he wants to go from a stop next time which I doubt he'll do. I'll just have to wait and see. I had a half tank and a passenger and I am not the thinest guy on the boards and audio system so big deal I don't bitch when I lose I give props. I know the S can take mostly stock GT's but this guy is full of it and doesn't think our cars are fast just cute. so I had to hand it to him. If I get crap for racing oh well flame if you like just had to post this story.

My mods are just a AEM CAI and an Invidia Exhaust.

You'll take him from a stop too. But you have to drive (launch and shift) well. Rubbing it in later is the best part.

Good run. You be fine from a dead stop, just launch at 6k and let her drop!

sounds about right, good run. the new GTs are a good bit quicker, watch out for them if you're stock.

Nice race!! Always wanted to run one of those stock GT's and just so happened that I ran into one a few days ago. I was waiting for him to punch it, but instead I heard a psssshhh from his car as he slow down to make a left turn. It's a good thing I didn't pick a race with him first. Would of made me look real bad (assuming he really does have FI).
